Youth Pastor, Gospel Baptist Church Pastor Marty began serving as Youth Pastor of Gospel Baptist Church in August, 2001. Marty is our newest staff member at Gospel Baptist Church. As Youth Pastor, Marty has worked with children, pre-teens and youth. Marty moved here from Greenville, SC with his wife Angie. Marty and Angie both graduated from Bob Jones University. Marty served as Assistant Pastor at Faith Missionary Baptist Church for four years while completing his degree in Bible. Angie taught sixth grade at Grace Gospel Church in Huntington, WV. She later taught various subjects at Bob Jones University’s Home satellite home school program. Both Marty and his wife, Angie, have a heart for youth, and a desire to see them know and grow in the Lord Jesus Christ. Their desire is to see many teenagers in this area glorify Jesus Christ with their lives, and to see other teens accept God’s free gift of salvation. We are excited about what God is doing with and in our young people.The purpose of our youth group is to reach young people with the gospel of Jesus Christ and that they in turn would grow in His grace and serve Him all of their lives.
We meet each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. for Sunday School. On
Wednesday nights we meet at 6:30 p.m. for a special time of
singing, prayer and digging into God’s Word. One Wednesday
night each month, we get together for "F.F.F." (Fun,
Food & Fellowship) which brings us together for a special
time of food and fellowship.
Please
come be a part of it and pray that our God would do mighty
things in and through our young people. Marty
