A few
years ago, a few of us motorcycle enthusiasts started riding on short
trips together privately. As often happens, the word got out, and others
started asking us to let them in on the trips, too. Well, the birth of
the 'Gospel Riders' happened.
On Tuesdays, (my day off), whoever wants to come on our one day trips shows up at the local Waffle House at Daniels Road at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast and fellowship. (Fellowship is what this is largely about.) We mount up from there and take no less than a half-day ride, even possibly a full day ride. Noon is an important time as we look for a great local restaurant in some small town - known only to the residents there. Fried chicken, gravy, bread, pies, cakes (all homemade) - almost put us away for the afternoon ride home! Christian men and women are welcome, as well as non-believers. It is a time to get to know each other on common ground . . . our love to ride motorcycles and feel the air rush by. It is also a great time to share how we came to know Jesus and why we live for Him, and not ourselves now. No alcohol, bars or babes on the Gospel Riders menu. We realize what is valuable now. We don’t live to ride, we live to serve our Lord who bought us with His precious blood on Calvary. If you are at all interested in coming along one day, let Marty "Moon Dog" Moon know by calling or emailing us through the contact page. No matter what kind of bike you ride, you all come! Biker Bill
